Yingting Liu is a Chinese composer and sound artist whose work brings together instrumental music, electronics, multimedia, theatre, and visual storytelling. Her practice explores cultural memory, ritual, the body, social pressure, and resistance, often transforming personal and collective experiences into immersive sonic and theatrical environments. Her music has been performed and presented by ensembles and festivals across the United States, Europe, and Asia, including Alarm Will Sound, Albany Symphony, Avanti!, SPICE Ensemble, and the Seoul International Computer Music Festival. She has received recognition from the ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Awards, MMTA Composer Commission Awards, and other international competitions and festivals. Yingting is currently pursuing a DMA in Composition at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, studying with Chen Yi, Zhou Long, and Paul Rudy.
