Fouzia Majd, composer, researcher and author, was born in 1938. She started learning music at "Jandark" school along with playing the piano. Acquaintance with "Emanuel Malik Aslanian" led her to a new way of thinking in music. In the early 1941’s, she went to England to study and studied music at Morton Hall School and Edinburgh University. Then she entered France to continue her education and finally returned to Iran in1963. For many years, she has been writing music reviews under the pseudonym "Florestan" in the English magazine Kaihan. Among her other activities, we can research and collect the music of Iran's ethnic groups, create the soundtrack for the two films "Iran's son does not know his mother" and "Siavash in Takht Jamsheid", "specialized articles on music", pieces of "Shab Kook", "Evil Hell" "Our suffering is in vain" and the books "Nafirnameh" and "Paikobi Dekdeh".

Some composers create in silence, for lack of support. We want to give them a free space to express themselves Because our initiative is not just an artistic event - it's a social, political and deeply human act.
