HUANG Bo, composer originated from China. Her compositions explore the intersections between sonic structure, cultural memory, and narrative clarity, while remaining sensitive to carefully constructed musical elements and spatial organization.

Her music has been performed internationally across the United States, Europe, and Asia. She has collaborated with distinguished ensembles and performers, including Ensemble Musikfabrik, Ensemble Modern, the IEMA Ensemble, Eastman Philharmonia, and Eastman Graduate Composers Sinfonietta, the New York Youth Symphony Ensembles, Hae-Sun Kang, and Jeffrey Zeigler.


Her works have been presented at festivals and academies such as precept.concept.percept XIII. Residency Program for Composers and Performers, Festival Mixtur, Ensemble Musikfabrik Virtual Brass Academy, ManiFeste Academy, and the Lucerne Festival Composer Seminar. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Belle S. Gitelman Award, Howard Hanson Orchestra Prize, Louis Lane Award, and Finalist in the National Young Composers Challenge.


Bo received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in composition from the Eastman School of Music and is currently a DMA candidate at the UT Austin Butler School of Music.
