Hanna Mesgari, born in 1998 in Tehran, began her musical journey with the setar at the age of 13. In 2017, she entered the University of Tehran, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Iranian music performance, deepening her mastery and understanding of this art form.

Based in Paris since September 2023, she transitioned into composition and is currently majoring in electroacoustic composition at the CRR de Paris under the guidance of Paul Ramage and Jonathan Prager, alongside her studies in instrumental composition with Karl Naegelen.

In the winter of 2024, she further enriched her artistic path after receiving a scholarship from the NIMFA – Horizon Étendu composition academy to study with Pierre Jodlowski, alongside completing an intensive course led by Helga Arias.

In 2025, she was selected by 3IMC to receive the Career Development Grant, made possible with the support of SACEM.

Her works have been performed at festivals such as Supersonique, NIMFA, and Elektronizza, as well as at other venues in Russia, Norway, and Germany. Notably, her piece In the Labyrinth was commissioned by the Motus company with the support of SACEM for the Futura Festival.

Some composers create in silence, for lack of support. We want to give them a free space to express themselves Because our initiative is not just an artistic event - it's a social, political and deeply human act.
