Edvin Ljubijankić, born in Toronto on March 3rd, 2004, began his musical education in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he began taking piano lessons at the age of 5. Upon moving to Canada, he continued his musical journey through the Royal Conservatory of Music before finding his love for fashion design in his later teens. From 2022 to 2026, he studied fashion design at Toronto Metropolitan University, but his love for music never faded. After a hiatus from musical activities, he began composing in 2024. His compositional studies were self-directed, using his prior experience as a piano player as a starting point, while studying the works of the great composers to guide his learning.

He began his compositional work through film, where his debut concert was a song cycle of piano pieces that was written as a thematic tie-in to a short film. The work debuted on the day of the premiere right before the film’s official screening. Since then, Edvin has constantly worked on and released compositions independently, including a short ballet for string orchestra titled "Flora". Other works range from solo piano pieces to chamber music and even large-scale orchestral works. Currently he is working on the score of an experimental silent film that combines traditional filmmaking with contemporary dance, which is set to premiere in late 2026.

Edvin’s compositional style is rooted in Neoclassicism. His works find their basis in the principles of form, balance and order, with a strong emphasis on musical clarity. Through his compositional practice he aims to spark a renewed interest in classical principles within composers with the hopes of inspiring fresh perspectives on contemporary music. His compositions combine tradition with experimentation, and he is constantly seeking new ways to innovate with the goal of giving familiar mediums a renewed voice.
