When we began searching for vendors we came across a variety of different ones but a company called Actuate seemed to set the standard for business intelligence and carried a powerful product line of offerings tailored for our needs. We also came to find out that Actuate has an entire community of open source developers that help maintain the software. Overall, we were quite pleased with their offerings and decided to download a trial version of their software. We are currently testing out the software and out it to be quite easy to use. The interface is clean and the presentation of rich information is appealing, it’s also a great open source business intelligence tool.
